News about Miley Cyrus' new "Big Bang" video hit the web last week and left us with only a few clues: It involves some kind of car crash, and there'd be some seriously steamy glances between Miley and her video costar, "Gossip Girl" actor/raging hottie Kevin Zegers. And now DisneyDreaming.com, has the song, "The Big Bang," by Miley's Los Angeles-based producers, Rock Mafia.
The "Can't Be Tamed" singer recently released her video for "Who Owns My Heart" and reminded us once again that she's well on her way to entering that phase every lady goes through that Britney Spears described so well--"not a girl, not yet a woman." As Miley moves away from "Hannah Montana" territory and toward the Parents Television Council's sh** list, her guest spot in "The Big Bang" video reminds us that girl's grown up.
Miley Cyrus fans looking to "nod their head like yeah" should look elsewhere. "The Big Bang" is more suited to "chilling on a couch like whoa," and seeing as that's one of my favorite activities, I'm giving the girl props on this one. Also, major Maroon 5 vibe, anyone?
Rock Mafia's video "The Big Bang," featuring Miley Cyrus, will premiere Nov. 1 on the E! network.

Today the upgraded trilogy set of epic flick (epflick?) Back to the Future comes out on Blu-ray. It's also the 25th anniversary of the exact date Marty McFly time traveled in the movie. Though remakes tend to be disappointing, in the spirit of nostalgia (that is, after all, the major message of the movie) and pop culture, we’ve decided a reimagining of the time-travel treasure is in order. In fact, if we start casting this situation now, we’ll be pretty much exactly on schedule for an Oct. 26, 2015 opening date--the exact date Marty travels to in the movie’s sequel. AND we’ve (in our heads) cast the perfect Millennial Marty McFly: Justin Bieber! We know, this is heavy. Stay with us.
OK, Justin Bieber was made for this role. First off, just like Michael J. Fox, who plays the main character in the original version, he’s Canadian. He also kinda-sorta looks like a teenaged MJF (who was 24, BTW, when he was cast in the part). Justin Bieber’s an experienced actor, thanks to his experience shooting the soon-to-be-released 3-D movie Never Say Never. And we don’t have to tell YOU guys that he’s musically adaptable enough to sing and play a mean “Johnny B. Good.”
We’re pretty sure this is Justin Bieber's thespian “density.” In the slightly paraphrased sage words of George McFly, he needs to get his “damn hands” ON this role.
Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale: Have your people call Bieber's people, ‘kay? To the flux capacitor!!

Guys, I’m pretty sure that the father of linguistics, Noam Chomsky, would even agree that this is a totally never-before-uttered phrase: I want to look as classically sleek, polished, and downright glamorous as Lady Gaga does in photo of her in London yesterday.
It seems a trip to London is all it takes for the Lady Gaga's Madonna 2.0 transformation we discussed earlier last week from stage five to at LEAST stage 10. I know because I’m a Lady Gaga/Madonna-ologist. It’s very Madonna circa her Reinvention tour. And once again, check out Gaga's new blonde hair! It's a shade ACTUALLY found in nature! Lady Gaga’s follicular Heidi Montag version 3.0 moment is killing me softly. It’s clearly inspired by Barbie (which, let's be real, Heidi is as well).
I’d really like to see what kind of eye makeup Gaga has going on under those fantastic oversize black shades, and that red lip is the stuff Fashion Week runway dreams are made of.
Lady Gaga, you clean up well! Could this perfect storm of chic be the effect of your new (reported) status as a married lady? And what do you think of Gaga's true blonde look? Yay or nay? Weigh in!

On the day of the release of her third studio album, Speak Now, no one would've blamed Taylor Swift if she'd chosen to spend the night sitting away in the private room of a posh restaurant in a difficult-to-access part of Manhattan or Los Angeles, celebrating with an intimate group of family, friends and record execs. But that wouldn't be very Taylor Swift of her.
Aside from writing heartstring-tugging country-pop songs that expertly walk the line between girlish awe and mature reflection, Taylor Swift seems to live for sweet moments of utter appreciation. Appreciation for the opportunities that have made her one of the biggest artists in the world, and above all else, appreciation for her fans.
And that's exactly why Taylor Swift gave her fans in New York and around the world the performance of a lifetime: an up-close-and-personal live performance and meet-and-greet live in New York City.
In a ballroom befitting a princess, behind a pink and purple backdrop that matched her Speak Now album cover, Taylor Swift greeted her fans--contest winners from around the world--with hugs, genuine enthusiasm, warmth and, above all, appreciation. Taylor answered audience questions during the show's question-and-answer session, revealing her obsession with her lucky number, 13 (there was even a face-painting station set up so fans could get their own 13s), and her appreciation for the little things that make life normal as she gets older. "I'm still really happy getting to go to the grocery store and knowing I'm getting all these ingredients to bake something," she said. "We can't stop loving the things we loved when we were 6."
Taylor Swift also explained what went into writing Speak Now, the first album she wrote all on her own, explaining that the album "took 2 years to write and 2 years to make" and consists of "stories and lessons I've learned the right way and the hard way." After reminiscing about the female artists she grew up admiring--Faith Hill, Dixie Chicks, Shania Twain--artists who entranced her with their storytelling, Taylor Swift explained, "Storytelling is what makes life make a little more sense to me."
With that, Taylor Swift showcased her storytelling skills, performing a three-song set--"Speak Now," "Back To December" and "Mine"--to an adoring, rapt audience. "The fact that you let me into your life means so much to me," she told them.

If Nicki Minaj's verse in Kanye West's "Monster" didn't blow your mind (How could it not?!), allow her to try again on a new track aptly titled "Blow Your Mind." Featured on DJ Haze's mixtape Still Countin 'Money 3, word's still out on whether or not this track will appear on Nicki's upcoming highly anticipated album Pink Friday, dropping Nov. 22.
The last time we heard from the Harajuku Barbie, she was, comparatively, sweet as pie in the down-tempo "Right Thru Me." But Ms. Young Money changes her rap style about as often as she changes her wigs. And "Blow Your Mind," which samples Prince's "Darling Nikki" (remember when he declared the Internet to be "over"?) brings us back to a tougher, mixtape-era Nicki. "This is the anthem/This, this is the anthem," she declares, and you can practically hear that famous Nicki snarl on her face.
Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely on Team Minaj, but I'm thinking this track is probably just the demo it's rumored to be. The Missy Elliot vibe to "Blow Your Mind" is hot, but Nicki's newer material is sounding a bit more polished than this. Either way, Pink Friday has been a long time coming, and we can't wait to get our hands on it.

My inner queen is counting down the DAYS until Burlesque comes out next month. Christina Aguilera's due for some seriously glamorous escapades since her unfortunate recent split with hubby Jordan Bratman.
In honor of celebrating Christina's innate fabulousity, we've compiled this photo gallery of her best, brightest and most beautiful moments, from her "Genie in a Bottle" days to her X-tina phase to her current Marilyn Monroe throwback style. Here are some of her dirrty moments you may have forgotten.
Above, we have a spry young Christina Aguilera at the 1999 MTV VMAs. Check her healthy appreciation of a good leopard print!

Remember when Christina's hair was consistently streaked with random Magic Marker shades? EVERYONE is doing that NOW! Christina so started that! Parenthetically, here she performed at MTV's TRL with grape-hued "lowlights."

And last, Christina rocked her huge "Moulin Rouge" hair during her "Lady Marmalade" days of 2001. Here, she's snapped in full 19th-century France regalia complete with robin's egg blue eye shadow at the "Wango Tango" concert series in L.A.

The mark of a good cover song is when you can still hear the foundations of the original song but when the new version is unique enough to stand on its own. The Rescues, a Los Angeles-based pop-rock foursome, hit the nail on the head with their dreamy cover of Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream."
While their "Teenage Dream" video is short about three dance parties, two bikini shots and one insanely hot boxer boyfriend, The Rescues' version of the song captures much of the sentiment of Katy's original "Teenage Dream"--whimsy, playfulness and romance.
The Rescues, who are a bit reminiscent of Stars, use their minimal black-and-white video to showcase their impressive harmonies while bringing a bit of a darker and more somber twist to the song. (BRB, adding this to my makeout playlist.)
And is it just me or does anyone else really enjoy watching a bearded, long-haired, leather jacket-wearing drummer sing "You think I'm pretty without any makeup on?" longingly into the microphone?

Kelly Osbourne's ditched her granny hair (though we have to admit she pulled it off better than some), lost some pounds and is looking quite svelte and super. (It's unfortunate that gigs on Dancing With The Stars can't be a viable weight-loss program for laypeople, right?)
Shopping site Bluefly invites you to take a little look-see inside Kelly Osbourne's boudoir. In the video, Kelly goes through her closet item by item--Chanel, Balmain and Dolce & Gabbana--and includes little self-deprecating anecdotes about each piece. Not related, but necessary to disclose: We want to steal her yellow tufted Mad Men-esque headboard!)
Kelly Osbourne's little cottage in the Hollywood Hills has little knickknacks, collectibles and pictures of her famous family all over the joint. BONUS: Kelly Osbourne apparently has a MASSIVE collection of vintage Barbie paraphernalia that's nothing short of spectacular--though apparently Tori Spelling snapped up the rest of the Barbie collection before Kelly could. Hate it when that happens!
It's also reported that Kelly Osbourne is working on a fashion collection. By the looks of her epic closet, it seems this gal knows a thing or three about clothes.

Welcome back to my round-up of all the cool things all the cool kids are watching and listening to this week! And a one, and a two, and a...
1.) Worst attempt at word invention ever? Rapper Yung Humma has ingeniously combined "smash" and "bang" in his soon-to-be hit single "Lemme Smang It," a sultry ditty describing--what else?--doing it. His dance moves will make you really uncomfortable. (Refinery29)
2.) Glad to see the Glee team taking some creative leaps: For their "Rocky Horror Picture Show" Halloween tribute episode airing tomorrow, Lea Michele's goody-two-shoes character Rachel Berry takes the stage as Rocky goody-two-shoes Janet, and Kevin McHale's wheelchair-bound Artie plays wheelchair-bound Dr. Scott. Watch a sneak peek of Glee's "Rocky Horror Picture Show" episode. (Ace Showbiz)
3.) Kanye West premiered his first film "Runaway" Saturday on MTV. It's an epic tale of a man and his really pretty, nearly naked phoenix, with the dopest soundtrack ever and also some ballerinas. Lucky for you, you can watch Kanye's "Runaway" online. (MTV)
4.) Daft Punk surprised all the hip francophile New Yorkers last week when they joined Phoenix on stage at Madison Square Garden during CMJ. No, it's true! There are pictures. I had tickets to that show and bailed last minute. Life of regret. True story. (Metromix)
5.) Simon Rex has been a lot of things: a porn star, an MTV VJ, a network drama bit player. Of course the next step in his career was to become a rapper. (Now there's an idea, Kurt Loder!) Flavorwire did the hard work and tracked down nine more MTV VJ alumni to see what they're up to now. (Flavorwire)
6.) Baby monkey riding on a baby pig: the viral video sensation now with hilarious original soundtrack! (YouTube)
7.) We here at Buzzworthy love kittens. Seriously, who doesn't love kittens? So by logical extension, we love the band KITTEN, who sound like The Killers and Florence + The Machine rolled into one adorable fuzzy package. OK, not really, but they do sound like that. (MySpace)
8.) Do you consider yourself an accomplished meme entrepreneur? (Meaning, can you make stuff go viral really fast?) Our friends at BuzzFeed are hosting Viral Wars, an online competition to see who can score the most clicks in one week. DO IT! Start being viral! (BuzzFeed)
9.) A computer science student embedded the lyrics to Rick Astley's reborn-by-way-of-the-Internet single Never Gonna Give You Up to create the first ever SUBLIMINAL RICK ROLL! Click through to see the original video. (Gizmodo)
10.) What if the sweet, sweet musings of American rapper 50 Cent were translated into the Queen's English? Well, you would have @English50Cent. (Twitter)
