Kanye West certainly knows how to show a feather-covered bird lady a good time. In his first mini-movie, which he directed and which clocks in at 35 minutes, Kanye West's "Runaway" takes us on a dreamy and wild journey set to the music of his upcoming album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, due out Nov. 22.

"Runaway," narrated by Nicki Minaj, premiered on MTV this weekend and opens up with a phoenix, played by the beautiful and talented Selita Ebanks (Kanye originally wanted Selita naked, but Selita gave that a firm "no"), falling from the sky in front of Kanye's sports car. The phoenix, named Griffin, is a metaphor for Kanye's career.

Like any good-hearted animal lover, Kanye scoops her up and takes her home (also because that's what you do when you find an alien phoenix on the side of the road) and begins to woo her into his world: Kanye shows her some beats he's working on, takes her to a parade to watch a giant Michael Jackson float and invites her to a dinner party in an abandoned warehouse with some ballerinas. Kanye's posse isn't sure what to make of his new girlfriend, as she doesn't wear clothes or talk and has trouble drinking from a cup. In the end, the phoenix throws Kanye the deuces and peaces out into a ball of flames. (Symbolism! Metaphor!)

From fireworks to woodland animals in empty forests, the analogies in "Runaway" are a high school English teacher's dream. Theories about what the video is trying to say are swirling, but we bet Kanye is probably the only person who really knows what "Runaway" is exactly about. Regardless of its true meaning, "Runaway" is really pretty to watch, the music is great and it reminds us once again why there is only one Mr. West.

Does this look like a married woman to you? Also, has Lady Gaga ditched her Crayola 8-pack hair hues in favor of a shade of blonde-found-in-nature? It could be that the bride wore leather, studs and black lace and major platforms as a not-so-traditiona-and-yet-very-Gaga getup for her nuptials.

Some news outlets are claiming that Lady Gaga and boyfriend Luc Carl had a secret commitment ceremony in Greece. It seems the crisp air of Rocktober makes pop stars wanna say "I do" in far-flung lands--Katy Perry and Russell Brand tied the knot this weekend in India, after all.

The singer, 24, and Luc Carl, 29, have been dating off and on for years, though it may not be a "Bad Romance" after all. Just last month, reports surfaced that Gaga and Luc Carl were headed to the altar. Meanwhile, The Sun reports that Gaga's maybe-wedding ceremony was just a gesture, and that the couple plans on saying "I do" in a real wedding in the near future.

We hope this is true. I envision select Grade-A filet-mignon meat bridesmaid dresses and impossibly enormous shades to accompany what can only be a doozy of an affair. What do you think? Is Lady Gaga actually Mrs. Carl? Comment away!

Is it All Hallow's Eve already where Justin Bieber is? Justin Bieber's commitment to festivity should be commended, though this jump-start on the holiday makes me wonder if he has supersecret access to a "Back to the Future"-style flux capacitor.

Justin Bieber rocked this bright scarecrow-esque ensemble at the Variety "Power of Youth" event this weekend. Justin Bieber, who clearly has a charitable side, donated 500 tickets to his concerts, 100 for each charity, to give to the children in need. Justin even tweeted "I know what it's like to have some tough times so I hope those tickets make u kids coming smile a little. Gonna be a fun show. Thanks."

Justin Bieber also spent the weekend hyping up his upcoming 3D movie, "Never Say Never," which documents his meteoric rise to fame, from obscure Canadian youth to YouTube breakthrough star to Twitter king and international superstar. (Justin Bieber is even big in Japan!) Justin Bieber's "Never Say Never" movie is 3D, of course (so save your glasses from "Jackass.")

Justin, we enjoy your fastidiousness when it comes to perfectly executed brushed-forward hairstyling, charitable doings, and Halloween spirit.

What, exactly, is Chiddy Bang? Chiddy Bang sounds like a high-impact sound, a street movement and a sudden sensation. All those things are true. But specifically, Chiddy Bang is Chidera "Chiddy" Anamege and Noah Beresin, aka Xaphoon Jones. They're hip-hop heads, indie-rock experts, sample savvy, instrumentalists and lyricists, and they're about to become very very big.

Chiddy Bang went from a college campus--Chidera and Noah met at Drexel University--to must-know band among the music blog set (not to mention Kanye West, who blogged about them), which latched on to their early tracks and The Swelly Express mixtape--to mainstage must-sees at Glastonbury and Lollapalooza and guest spots on Jay-Z and Snoop Dogg's live shows. And if it hasn't already, Chiddy Bang's new album, The Preview, and their upcoming The Swelly Life full-length, is about to take up permanent residence on your iPod. And we guarantee it won't sound anything like anything you've already got on it.

As you KNOW, Katy Perry and Russell Brand are getting married this weekend in India. Either that or they're pulling the world's BIGGEST joke on everyone.

Regardless, since Katy's superhuman cuteness is more akin to that of a doll than of a real live human girl, we thought it'd be fun to bust out a Barbie-inspired wedding dress idea for the California Gurl. Katy is, after all, no stranger to turning to the House of Mattel for fashion inspiration.

While we're dying to know what kind of wedding dress Katy Perry wears (well, dresses is probably more accurate--we can't imagine Katy not having a costume change or 12), we'd love to see a Peaches and Cream Barbie moment for the lovely soon-to-be Mrs. Brand. Speaking of brand, Katy Perry looks like she's been turning to the legendary Barbie brand on several sartorial occasions. Check it:

Just when you think you've seen Lady Gaga in every single outfit imaginable (meat dress, flamingo costume, scary dangerous costumes), you remember that she had yet to pair bedazzled welding goggles with the world's fanciest tablecloth. Duh!

Seen here leaving her hotel in London, the "Bad Romance" singer goes for tea and crumpets in blue-gray hair, fingerless black leather gloves and no-heel platforms the size of your face.

OK, we don't really know if Gaga's going for tea and crumpets. I think it looks like she's going to a christening or maybe a Renaissance Fair. Or is dressed up like the world's fanciest Storm Trooper. But remember, Lady Gaga attended a Yankees game in underwear and wore a telephone on her head and a vinyl apron while serving sandwiches in the "Telephone" video. So my bet is she's probably doing something low-key like mini-golfing or antiquing.

While I love Lady Gaga for her outlandish sartorial choices and in-your-face beliefs, I really love the fact that if I bail on my Halloween costume idea last minute, I can just gather a bunch of items from around my apartment, glue them all on a dress, call you "Alejandro," and everyone would totally get it.

Ciara and Usher have joined well-groomed forces on their latest song "Turn it Up (Pucker Up)!" The song, by the single-monikered duo--who has time for last names? Surely not THESE two! -- will most def be playing in clubs once it officially drops.

We expect "Turn It Up" to show up on Ciara's upcoming Basic Instinct album, which is expected to drop Dec. 14. "Turn It Up" is not quite as frenetic and varied as "Gimme Dat." It's got a slightly more mellow sultry makeout-y vibe (so feel free to take that "pucker up" call to action literally), which makes the cool collaboration with the always-smooth Usher ever sexier.

Taylor Swift is keeping it cool, daddio. (That's how people used to talk back in the '60s and stuff. Or at least that's what "hipsters" always talked like in the movies.) She's traded her signature long, curly blonde locks (but don't get nerve, it's just a wig!) and almond-shaped cat-lined eyes for a sleek '60s brunette, bespectacled beatnick situation. Her new steez is SO very Jules in Truffaut's '60s French New Wave flick Jules et Jim.

But Taylor isn't starring in a Jules et Jim remake (unfortunately). Instead, she was snapped in the above photo for a new photoshoot for Target, or Tar-zhay, as Jules would have referred to it. The Fearless Taylor Swift donned a black beret, black turtleneck with her dusky brunette wig to match for the shoot, which promotes the deluxe edition of her new album Speak Now, which goes on sale 10/25.

The look evokes a certain emo sensibility--mayhaps beatniks were the emo set of the '60s? Si c'est possible!
