I was just thinking to myself, "Why doesn't anyone make those old-school slow dance jams that our parents used to drink milkshakes to or sock hop to or whatever they used to do back in the day?" Enter Gnarls Barkley rapper and MC Cee-Lo and his new-school old-school track "Old Fashioned."

Cee-Lo got us all smirking and snapping our fingers when we first heard the doo-wop-ish, scorned ex-lover anthem "F*** You." But the much-safer-for-work "Old Fashioned," the newly released track off of his highly anticipated album The Lady Killer, due out Nov. 9, showcases a sweeter side of Cee-Lo. "My love old fashioned," he croons, "But it still works/Just the way it is." Awww. I'll go to the dance with you, Cee!

Part soul, part Motown and all heart, "Old Fashioned" is the perfect soundtrack for taking your lady to Lookout Point, giving her your varsity pin and doing other slightly modest black-and-white stuff we saw in the movie Pleasantville. But if you start going steady but things go awry, you might want to stick with that other song.  (Hint: it starts with "F" and ends with "You.")

Feast your eyes on a new photo gallery of Minneapolis native Auburn. This protege of J.R. Rotem (producer of tracks by everyone from Britney Spears to Rick Ross) mixes together hip-hop and, interestingly enough, meditative acoustic pop.

With tracks like "La La La" and "Bad Day," Auburn's quickly developing a rep as a standout solo artist, capable of making infectious pop tracks that have real emotional resonance. And listening to Auburn spit fire on songs like "Move," we can even detect a little Nicki Minaj in the making.

Auburn's MTV photo gallery is very much representative of her individual style. She's got swag in spades, for sure. But there's also something very ethereal and mystical about her.

One thing we'll always be able to say about Chris Brown is that he's a fantastic dancer who sings really catchy songs. In his new video for the high-energy "Yeah 3X" off of his upcoming album F.A.M.E., due out in 2011, Chris Brown shows off his master moves and gets the whole neighborhood on their feet.

Lately, Chris Brown's been making the rounds, taking guest spots on other artists' tracks, like his most recent collaboration with T.I. on "Get Back Up." For his solo effort though, Chris Brown is leaning more toward his pop roots and away from the urban beats we're used to. "Yeah 3X" is a 100 percent dance party track. And what kind of video goes best with a dance party track? A dance party video.

Chris Brown, known for being an avid admirer of Michael Jackson, pays homage to the pop icon with a video set reminiscent of both "The Way You Make Me Feel" and "Billie Jean." Dressed half dapper, half ready to get down, Chris gets the party started when he rolls through the neighborhood on top of a truck decked out with a monster sound system. All the kids get up on their feet, and soon they're chasing Chris through town. Throw in a some pretty girls, a curbside dance-off, and a broken fire hydrant and you've got yourself a raging block party, with Chris Brown as emcee.

Here we have Beyoncé exiting Miami's super fancy Delano Hotel, sporting a rather awesome orange dress and looking like she doesn't have a care in the world.

While rumors of pregnancy swirl all around her, Bey just keeps on being Bey. This could have something to do with the fact that, according to her mother, Tina, Beyoncé is, in fact, not pregnant after all.

Really, the reason we're posting this photo is because we feel like Beyoncé is owed some dap when it comes to her public persona and the way she carries herself. She always seems to be in such an easygoing, good mood!

So, Beyoncé, we salute you and your orange dress. May you be an example to all the brooding and sour-faced celebs out there. (You know who you are... Actually we're not even referring to anyone specifically. It's just always funny to say "you know who you are.")

Earlier in the day we bemusedly noted a yawning Nick Jonas as he took in a playoff baseball game at New York's Yankee Stadium last night. Little did we know that we would be blowing the lid off a burgeoning yawning epidemic that would afflict our brightest young stars.

Here we see Justin Bieber, exiting a rather posh looking plane in desperate need of some Z's. Bieber was arriving in Los Angeles after flying in from his native Canada. And, as many of us know, it was anything but an easy homecoming.

Justin's sleepless state is likely due to being embroiled in an honest to goodness controversy. While home in the Great White North, Biebs got into an alleged fracas with a fellow teen during a game of laser tag.

So it's no wonder the dude is feeling a little worn down! We're gonna need to start a national Get-Some-Rest Initiative for these kids!

I love Halloween! Who doesn't appreciate the chance to dress up, get wild and pretend you're someone entirely different for a night?  Wanna dress up like Katy Perry this Halloween? Go trick-or-treating as Lady Gaga? Check out some tips for looking like your favorite stars if you're low on cash but have great big dreams of dressing up like a celebrity this Halloween.

Katy Perry Halloween Costume: Katy Perry created quite a stir spraying whipped cream out of her bra in the "California Gurls" video. Try it yourself with some cheap cans of the stuff duct-taped to your chest or held together with some kind of string contraption if you're good at tying knots. Extra points for the Betty Page wig and Snoop sidekick.

Ke$ha Halloween Costume: Ke$ha's half-glam, all-party style in her "TiK ToK" video might be the more obvious choice for this year's costume. But why not try Tiger Ke$ha? Urban Outfitters' Tiger Booty Buddy is basically a Snuggie, but it's also basically a Ke$ha costume to go. Plus, you get to wear a blanket in public.

Justin Bieber Halloween Costume: The great thing about being Justin Bieber for Halloween is that you don't need to buy anything. We all have a hoodie somewhere. The "Somebody To Love" singer's famous 16-year-old swag might be hard to impersonate, though, but put on a hoodie, shake out your hair and do your best. If people don't immediately understand that you're Justin Bieber, just give them ye ol' Justin Bieber hair shake and be like "you just don't get it, man. You Just. Don't. Get It."

Lil Wayne Halloween Costume: I can't think of a more fitting Halloween than this one to dedicate to Weezy. Mr. Young Money is being released from jail only days later. All you really need to dress up like Lil Wayne is a Sharpie and the ability and willingness to draw all over yourself. Here's hoping you win all the costume contests you enter -- it's going to be a while before that marker comes off.

Lady Gaga Halloween Costume: Years from now we'll all remember where we were when the "Telephone" video first premiered. Pay homage to the Lady who changed the Diet Coke can forever. Grab a cheap wig, and tie a Diet Coke can to it this October 31st. Voila. Lazy Gaga.

Despite all their mutual success, despite their various hits, despite the fact that one of them is about to get married, Katy Perry and Travie McCoy's breakup and relationship is still sort of an elephant in the room; we nosy listeners still want to hear what they have to say about it, on record (and on the record).

Katy Perry took the first shot across the bow of the USS McCoy with her acidic, accusatory track "Circle The Drain." Now Travie McCoy returns fire with this new video for his track "Need You," directed by Luga Podesta. While it would be hard to pin either down about whether it was specifically about their ex, some astute listeners may read between the lines.

"Need You" has a somber vibe, not unlike the Red Hot Chili Peppers classic "Under The Bridge." In the clip, Travie McCoy wanders around, late at night in Chinatown, musing on how a past love has ruined him for future happiness. (Please note, the chopsticks in Travie's hair. An excellent artistic hat tip to the video's location.) And the contorting dancers? Very "Runaway."

A couple of months back, Travie McCoy told MTV News, "The concept of the song is basically me explaining to a girl that I'm not in a position to give her what she needs." Honestly, it's a surprisingly measured and vulnerable track that shows off a more mature side of Travie.

"Need You" is taken from Travie McCoy's solo debut, Lazarus, which is out now.

When Rihanna's first "Who's That Chick?" video hit the web in September, we weren't sure what to make of it. We didn't know if it was leaked on purpose to give us a taste of her upcoming album, Loud, or if it was extra footage of a PVC stockings convention/Day-Glo dance club/traveling carnival experiment.

A second version of Rihanna's "Who's That Chick?" video has been released, and we now know that it's part of a unique new marketing campaign for Doritos Late Night.  Instead of the candy-colored Rihanna we saw in the "day" cut, director of both videos Jonas Åkerlund brings us back to a "Disturbia"-era Rihanna in the "night" version.

Sporting gray nails, dark makeup and a sexy black frock, the same set we saw in the first take is transformed from fun house to underground goth club. OK, maybe not a real goth club, but Rihanna wears white contact lenses and skulls, and both of those things are pretty goth in my book.

Rihanna is really excited about teaming up with Doritos, and we have to admit, the interactive customization aspect is kinda cool. A little weird, but cool. To see the original Rude Girl in all her dark-sided glory, all you need is a webcam and flattened, empty bag of Doritos Late Night. (Just like some of my best college memories.) If you're short on chips, you can watch a side-by-side comparison of both videos below.
