At this rate, there aren't too many songs from Ke$ha's upcoming Cannibal that we haven't heard. Seems like every day a track from the mini-album, which is being released with a reissue of Ke$ha's Animal, hits the Internet. So, with that being said, here we have "Blow."
Cannibal is being positioned as something of an in-betweener kind of record; something that shows some of her growth since Animal, while still staying true to the sound that got her where she is.
With that in mind, "Blow" is a something old and something new. The sentiment expressed in the lyrics "we get what we want, we do what you don't," is part and parcel with the feeling of "We R Who We R." It's still obnoxious as all get out, but you're starting to hear a heart beating under there.
In terms of the music, "Blow," as Idolator points out, is a close cousin to Animal's "Take It Off." Dark, squelching keyboards, hard electro beat, huge chorus.
Check out Ke$ha's "Blow" below. Cannibal is out Nov. 22.
