For the last few weeks, casual Lady Gaga watchers and Little Monsters alike have been waiting on pins and needles and crazy high Noritaka Tatehana heels for news regarding Lady Gaga's new album, Born This Way.
On Dec. 25, Gaga had promised, via Twitter, to make a big Born This Way-related announcement on New Year's Eve. And as the Lady promised, at the stroke of midnight, with a new year upon us, she did tweet out a mildly cryptic message: "THE SONG 2 13 11 THE RECORD 5 23 11," made much less cryptic by the attached Twitpic, also seen above, of a pants-free Lady Gaga, rocking a jacket with the title of her new album (and forthcoming single) airbrushed on the back.
The jacket is actually something of a clue, my wee detectives. If what we've been hearing about Born This Way's classic-rock leanings is true, what's more classic rock than an airbrushed jacket? Oh and P.S.? Dope unicorn, girl. (And, P.S., we can see your butt.)
Heck, even more of a clue is Gaga's listening habits. She's apparently been keeping her radio locked on Q104.3 Classic Rock Radio, as right before she tweeted out her album release date, she stated, simply, "[Bruce Springsteen's] Thunder Road just came on."
Lady Gaga's Born This Way the album comes out May 23. Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" single and title track drops Feb. 13. Buckle up, people.
