Happy New Year, ya'll! This year, my resolutions are to stop paying for so many manicures, to cut down on the amount of beer I spill on myself at bars and to turn in these weekly internet roundups on a somewhat more timely basis. Let's just say 2011 is off to a rocky start...
.) Lil Wayne wore teddy bear sneakers at BET’s 106 & Park New Year’s Eve Show, and depending on your outlook on life, they looked (a) really cute, comfy and warm, or (b) like the severed heads of the Snuggle Bear, the fabric softener mascot. (MTV Style)
.) Not sure why there's still confusion about this, but it's been soundly proven that "Take You Down" is NOT a top secret Justin Timberlake track. (I knew it all along, because JT tracks make my booty DROP, and this one didn't.) The song is actually by this Danish guy named Rasmus Thude. (EW)
.) You guys, I am SO sorry. I totally meant to show you this LAST YEAR, but I completely forgot. Because you could've busted out some of these dance moves at your New Year's bash. My bad. Anyway: Double Dream Hands. (CollegeHumor)
.) MTV's patron saint of profitability, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, has written a novel. As in, a book with words. These are some of those words--in LOL form. (Buzzfeed)
.) Indie Cats are so indie: Everything you like now, they liked five years ago. (Spinner)
.) For those of you not sure why you got dumped over the holiday break, here's your answer:

.) James Van Der Beek unwittingly made his way back from late-'90s obscurity with a viral-type GIF of him crying on an episode of "Dawson's Creek." Well, he's BACK with even more new GIFs, animated to reflect moods of "Eager Beaver" and "LiLo Eye Roll." So good! (JamesVanderMemes.com)
.) Not only do I love the Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros song "Home"--covered in this adorable homemade clip by Jorge Narvaez and his little daughter Alexa--but more important, the dad can WHISTLE WITH HIS MOUTH OPEN. What!? (YouTube)
.) A homeless man with the a golden, honey-dipped voice perfect for radio has received a growing number of job offers--including one for a full-time job and a HOUSE from the Cleveland Cavaliers--since a short clip featuring his throat skillz hit the webs yesterday. This story warms my heart more than a million kittens in tiny cable-knit sweaters. (Gawker)
.) Oh snap! So first Josh Farro quit Paramore and blogged about it, then Hayley Williams was all like "that sucked" in an exclusive interview with MTV News that's airing via livestream Friday at 4 p.m. ET. Drama for sure. Don't miss it! (MTV News)
