On Friday, Jan. 21 Taylor Swift will be boarding a cruise ship packed with her fans and contest winners and performing an at-sea show live. And MTV Buzzworthy writer Nicole James embarked on the seven-day cruise to catch all the seafaring action. Here's her report.
Sometimes the life of a Buzzworthy writer can be grueling–-quick deadlines, tough brainstorming, and never quite finding the right synonym for "OMFG." But then other times the life of a Buzzworthy writer is insanely awesome. This week happens to be one of those times. While you're wearing three Snuggies and deicing your car windows in the rest of the country, I'm tracking down Taylor Swift, who'll be performing on a cruise ship in the Caribbean. No big deal.
Just imagine the size of the septic tank.
Guys, this is literally the largest cruise ship in the world. It has a zip line, two rock-climbing walls, a shopping mall, and about a 500-to-1 free brownies-per-person ratio. The ship also has an outdoor theater where Taylor Swift will perform for me and my closest contest winner friends from around the country. This outdoor theater is also the exact site where Taylor Swift and I are going to begin our lifelong friendship. By "lifelong friendship" I mean "they will have to call security after I pee on myself when I meet her."
I know this sounds like a laborious task, but someone had to do it. And it's not all fun and games, I'm still working. And what kind of blog would we be if we didn’t send someone to Mexico to hang out with Taylor Swift?
So stay in school and eat your green beans, kids. You too could be on a plane one day headed down to meet Taylor Swift and snapping a photo of yourself at the exact moment you realized you forgot your deodorant. Taylor's gonna love me!
