Hello fellow Britney fans! Put "Hold It Against Me" on pause for two minutes because I've got some good news to report this week! According to her official website, Britney's "Hold It Against Me" has gone #1 on iTunes in New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, France, Australia, the United States, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Greece, Ireland, Italy and Finland. 16 countries in one week!
Take a look: (Side note: The #2 song in Australia is 'Dirty Talk' by Wynter Gordon--check out that out too. The song makes me wish that I had hair just so I could flip it.)

I wonder how fellow pop divas Christina, Miley, and Nicki feel about this.

Sorry ladies.... but there's even better news. According to reports released by Billboard.com on Wednesday, "Hold It Against Me" dominated the Digital Singles song chart, selling 411,100 copies! This number puts Britney ahead of every other lead female artist in terms of first week sales. "Today Was a Fairytale" by Taylor Swift was the single that previously held this record.
#1 Pop Diva Ever...

...and the award goes to, Lucky!
As if this record-breaking news wasn't exciting enough, "Hold It Against Me" has even been declared by Britney fans as her best lead single of all time! (I voted for "Gimme More"… sorry, don't hold it against me.) Britney fans everywhere are going crazy over the new single, AND after reading the recent tweets below it looks like it won't be much longer until we get to set our eyes on (and obviously I will make fierce GIFs of) the music video, hear Britney's NEXT single, and get more news about the album!

Britney has been hitting the studio hard with choreographer Brian Friedman, who recently told MTV's "The Seven," "I think you can expect the unexpected from Britney. She is taking risks when it comes to fashion, when it comes to choreography, when it comes to this music--she's grown up so much, and she's pushing 30 years old soon, so she's a strong independent woman and I think she wants to show that."
T. Kyle's Obsessed Fan Fact You Might Not Know: Friedman is the choreographer behind the infamous and legendary Britney "Slave 4 U" choreography, yes the routine we saw at the 2001 VMAs with the snake. I think it's great the two are joining forces again, and I can't wait to see how the video turns out!

Stay tuned! Looks like we've got an exciting few weeks ahead of us!
