"Under Cover Of Darkness" is the first single off of The Strokes' long-awaited fourth album (two years in the making) Angles, due out March 22. Fans have been anxious to hear what The Strokes sound like nowadays, considering they were on a highly publicized break for about three years. The result of that break? Old-school Strokes perfection.
"Under Cover of Darkness" harkens back to the Strokes' Is This It? days -- muffled vocals, shrieky guitars and a 10 out of 10 on the "stuck-in-your-head" scale. In other words, we love it. The Strokes are like the band version of the iPhone app Hipstamatic -- cool, kind of lo-fi and making everything feel a little grittier.
