POSTED: Linkin Park Tour Dates Canceled With Lead Singer Out Sick

As MTV’s POSTED Artist of the Month, the men of Linkin Park have been sending us updates from the road as they tour the U.S.A. in support of their A Thousand Suns LP. This winter has been a tough one on everyone, and Linkin Park is no exception. In the below tour blog, the band’s third missive from the road, drummer Rob Bourdon explains the reasons behind the band having to cancel several shows on its tour. Read the tour diary below, enjoy more photos (from Atlanta, Boston, Philadelphia and Minneapolis) and watch a video of the band warming up for a show in Tampa, Fla. You can check out more blogs, videos and photos over at Posted.MTV.com.

Hey everyone,

After battling a snowstorm last week, we’re facing a new challenge to overcome. [Singer] Chester[Bennington] is ill and under doctor’s orders to refrain from performing. We’ve had to cancel back-to-back shows in Washington, D.C., and Uncasville, Conn. We’re extremely disappointed that we’re not able to play these shows, but Chester needs to take this time to get well. Even though we know you’re bummed, you guys have been incredibly supportive and Chester appreciates all of the “get well soon” messages posted on linkinpark.com, Twitter and Facebook.

Thanks to everyone who’s come out to support us on this tour. The crowds have been insane, and we’re excited to get back onstage.
