As part of MTV’s Indie Music Month, we’re premiering videos from some of the most vibrant, inventive and fresh artists in the indie music scene. And today we have a special one from one of most consistently rewarding bands in indie rock: Minus The Bear.

For almost a decade Seattle’s Minus The Bear has been mesmerizing listeners with gorgeous, idiosyncratic guitar and keyboard interplay and singer Jake Snider’s razor-sharp lyrics, which manage to be cynical and vulnerable at the same time.

On the latest album, Omni, the band wedges its unique sound into more traditional song structures, and the results are pretty stunning. Also stunning is the band’s live show, which is artfully captured in the below video for the single “Hold Me Down.”

The video, directed by Adam Rothlein, captures a raucous Minus The Bear gig from a variety of perspectives and features some really lovely camera work and cinematography.
