We've been fans of New Boyz for a while now, since we noticed them way back in 2009, when their single, "You're A Jerk," made it onto the Billboard charts, introducing both their SoCal hip-hop style and "jerkin'" dance craze into the mainstream. And today we're cutting the giant red bow off the video for their new single, "Backseat." It features The Cataracs and electro-pop princess Dev, who sings both "Booty Bounce" and the hook on Far East Movement's "Like A G6."
In the "Backseat" video, teenage wunderkinds Earl "Ben J" Benjamin and Dominic "Legacy" Thomas lean back on some hot wheels (is that a DeLorean???) and attempt to lean into some hot chicks as they act roughly twice their age, dropping references to the VIP section and... getting with hot girls.
Whether or not the New Boyz are able to drive said luxury cars remains to be seen. Maybe that's why they're so hyper-focused on the "backseat." Nevertheless, we're totally cool with test-driving that Benz with suicide doors. And no matter what goes in the backseat, promise us that you'll keep your eyes on the road, Boyz.
