Wow. So remember Hannah Montana? Miley Cyrus may not, considering she was recently filmed at a concert in Ecuador covering Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit," a pretty major departure from her more popular lighter fare such as "7 Things" and "Party In The U.S.A."
That's not to say Billy Ray's kid can't wail -- she's already proved her worth, having performed duets with the likes of Bret Michaels and Joan Jett. Plus, one listen to the girl's signature rasp, and it's pretty clear that, although she's proud of her roots as a Disney star, the Mouse Ears are likely hidden beneath a pile of leather pants and rhinestone-studded tank tops, if we know our Miley.
Plus, if anyone is prepared to hate on Miley for covering a song so sacred to the grunge scene of the early '90s (when she was in diapers!), they should pause and give the song a listen because -- surprise! -- Miley doesn't sound half bad. No word yet on whether Courtney Love wants to take Miley shopping.
