The thing about The Lonely Island is that one of their songs will come on at a party and you'll just start Dougie-ing to it like it's a "real" hip-hop song. That is until you tune in to the lyrics and hear something like, "Huge turtleneck and my chain so skinny/Beer light, all night, stand up, get dizzy." Then you look around all, "Oh, I totally knew this was a joke song." Got us again, Andy Samberg.
Comedy super trio The Lonely Island released a new track, "Turtleneck & Chain," off of their upcoming sophomore album Turtleneck & Chain, due out May 10. Snoop Dogg is featured on the song, which not only legitimizes The Lonely Island's true musical talent, but it also brings the song to a whole new level of LOL. "The fatter, the puffier, the fluffier, the bigger the turtleneck, the more gangsta it is," Snoop informs us. You know what they say -- you learn something new about turtlenecks every day.
We already knew The Lonely Island could make us laugh (see: "The Creep" and "I Just Had Sex") but now they're soliciting sartorial advice, too. Turtlenecks and chains, y'all. Summer trend 2011.
