And a child shall lead them. In the new dystopian video for "Misfits," the latest collaboration between Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and DJ Steve Aoki, the aggro-electro track gets equally aggressive visuals, complete with riot gear, gas masks and anger-management issues.
Amid a cacophony of quick cuts and Fight Club-style anarchist organization techniques, we're most drawn in by the shots of a young girl, clad in a plaid skirt, virginal white shirt and gas mask, leading the rebel uprising against a police riot force. There's a kinda 30 Seconds To Mars vibe to the video, minus Jared Leto, and also minus 30 Seconds To Mars.
"Misfits" was directed in Los Angeles by AG Rojas, who previously helmed Calvin Harris' "Bounce" and Gil Scott-Heron and Jamie xx's "I'll Take Care of You." It's the second single from Barker's recently released solo album, Give The Drummer Some. In addition to Aoki, Barker's first solo album features collaborations with Lil Wayne, Ludacris, RZA and Snoop Dogg.
