We really do demand a lot from our pop stars these days -- make music, look pretty, be a role model, stop aging... It's got to be tough sometimes. And now we're asking the ones that visit us here at Buzzworthy to perform an operation. Hey, nobody said being famous was easy.
OK, it's not a real operation. It's the game Operation! And first up to take an innocent patient under the knife for "Buzzworthy Operation" is "Buzz On" artist Eliza Doolittle. The "Skinny Genes" singer stopped by MTV to chat about growing up, breaking up and -- our favorite subject of all -- cats! But it's one thing to do an interview. It's another to PERFORM A FAKE SURGERY DURING AN INTERVIEW, all while being extremely charming and adorable.
Eliza Doolittle released her debut self-titled album last year in the U.K. and is currently gaining momentum in the U.S. But before she got paid to travel the world and perform, she was just like anyone else -- in school, daydreaming about it. "[I] wanted to be singing, doing something else [besides school]. But I kind of wish I paid more attention in school. Now I want to be more knowledgeable," she says. Hear that, kids? School is cool.
In regards to her Operation skills, well, we can't all be good at everything. To Eliza Doolittle's defense, though, those little pliers the game gives you to grab the "extractions" are THE WORST. And even though she said she's "rubbish" at it, we think she did great! And she makes a sexy doctor too.
