Speak Now, Taylor Swift's third album, has already sold more than 3 million copies, but the singer is showing no signs of slowing down as she gives MTV an exclusive look at the video for her latest single, "The Story Of Us."
In her brand-new "Story Of Us" video, which is literally broken up into literary chapters, Swift reminisces about a college boyfriend and all the joy and issues that accompany a relationship. After meeting her future love in a library, the inevitable problems of pride and ego kick in, and pretty soon, we get Swift and her man looking sheepishly into their books and trying to avoid eye contact. When will casting directors learn that you can't make someone a nerd simply by putting glasses on them?!
But we digress. As the pair act out the song's line "This is looking like a contest of who can act like they care less," we're treated to frenetic cuts of library patrons, Swift's band and our romantic leads, culminating in a tornado of papers and a difficult decision. But we're not gonna tell you everything.
Directed by Noble Jones, whose previous work includes videos by Goo Goo Dolls, Michael Buble, Keith Urban and Seal, "The Story Of Us" is the fourth single from Speak Now.
