Britney Spears tweeted a photo of herself and some of her new BFFs yesterday on the set of her new music video for "I Wanna Go," the third single off her album Femme Fatale. At least, I'm assuming they're BFFs, right? Something about Britney's sweet persona gives me the impression that she's the friendly sort, you know? Happy to pose for photos and always smiling that sunny smile. And how cute is that Avril-esque punky pink streak in her hair?
The video, directed by Chris Marrs Piliero, should apparently be one of Brit's more shocking (which is saying a lot considering "If You Seek Amy" was essentially a suburban orgy. According to Hollywood Life, the video story line goes like this: Britney speaks at a press conference, it turns out all the reporters are robots (METAPHOR!), she lives out several fantasies in a dream including making out with a fan and flashing a cop(!), before the viewing audience finds out she's daydreaming and that none of the attendees of the press conference are actually robots... or are they? Spooky! I guess we'll just have to see what happens!
The "I Wanna Go" video will not feature much dancing, which may upset a few fans. (There's at least one guy in particular who probably has a strong opinion on it.) But there WILL be whistling. That's right! "I Wanna Go" features a whistling section(!), and it should be awesome to see if and how they do that in the video. Maybe whistling is the new dancing? Only someone like Britney could make that happen.
