The remaining members of Cali Swag District have honored their fallen friend and fellow rapper M-Bone (born Mante Talbert) by releasing a song, "How To Do That." While the beat might suggest something to listen to at the club, the lyrics are appropriately poignant, with all three verses painting a picture of M-Bone not just as a friend but as family.
The 22-year-old M-Bone was killed in a drive-by shooting in the early hours of May 16 in Inglewood, California, shocking fans and the group alike. Cali Swag District's smash hit, "Teach Me How To Dougie," was a massive mainstream success for the group, finishing in the years' Top 100 songs on Billboard and going multiplatinum.
M-Bone's funeral will be held today, and Cali Swag District has opened up the funeral to fans. The service will take place today at 11 a.m. at Faithful Central Bible Church on Florence Avenue in Inglewood, California. No suspects have been identified yet in this tragic case.
