It's only been out for 24 hours, but chances are you've watched the new Britney Spears video, "I Wanna Go," more than once (or more than 20 times like us). Just in case you haven't though, here's a "Reader's Digest" rundown: We've got rogue paparazzi, robots, spiked Louboutins, strip searches by hot cops and most important, colored hair extensions! What more could we ask for?
But there are a few other parts of Brit's newest clip that gave us total video boners. Below are our five favorite things about Britney Spears' "I Wanna Go" video:
1.) Britney's "Take no prisoners" attitude: Instead of being her usual sweet, Southern self, Brit's kind of a huge b**** in "I Wanna Go," and we kinda love it. She literally tells the reporters in the beginning of the vid to go eff themselves, and as huge supporters of the HBIC attitude, we have to say: Get it, girl.
2.) Her rockin' bod: There's been so much controversy about Britney's "comeback" and her life post-babies that we feel the need to point out that there's virtually not an ounce of "I'm a mother of two" fat on her body. Bottom line: She looks great -- leave Britney's bod alone!
3.) The strip search scene: Brit can always be counted on to provide some hot male eye candy in her videos (and a big "Thank you!" for that, sister). So unsurprisingly, the male cop that arrests Britney for flashing (and then conveniently pats her down) is no exception. But being the vixen that she is, Brit and the cop make out after her arrest, and then she absconds with his cuffs. Typical.
4.) That baller microphone: Anyone who thinks Britney would use like, some basic microphone from Best Buy is sorely mistaken. Pshh. Homegirl's mic is STUDDED, y'all. Brit climbs onto a taxi and starts swinging that mic around like a lasso as she happily watches it kill off the surrounding paparazzi. Did we mention the mic SHOOTS OUT SPARKS?
5.) The underlying Transformers/Terminator 2/X-Men subplot (?): As the video winds to a close, we learn that we're operating in a world full of one-eyed robot paparazzi and scary machine men, and we definitely didn't expect that from a Britney Spears video. The machine-people plot line adds a nice twist to the video, and by the end we're not sure if her robo-friend is on Brit's team or not. Does that mean there's a Part Two in the works?
