"Rich Whores" totally serves anyone who rudely assumed she'd be a one-viral-hit wonder -- as haters often do when confronted with a monster hit from a 21-year-old, multi-talented Bay Area young gun newcomer stunner. Oh, and she's also just DIRECTING RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS' NEW VIDEO. NO BIGS.
Released online late last week, "Rich Whores" is a classic dis track directed at all the "rich whores" clogging up her thrift store, "dancing with no rhythm," doing drugs and generally being posers. Well, she certainly told them twice. (And we're more than certain she's been to heavily populated neighborhoods of Brooklyn.)
Kreayshawn's flow on "Rich Whores" is slow and simple, almost childlike, which juxtaposes the nasty things she's saying quite nicely. "Rich whore rich whore/standing at the thrift store/line it up, line it up/sniff more sniff more," goes the taunting refrain. Another choice line: "You can put a pig in lipstick, but you can't disguise the stank." Burn notice! She also manages to incorporate both Gucci Mane and The Spice Girls into her insults.
Will the feisty Oakland native ever run out of people to hate on? With a short summer tour coming up, and of course, her forthcoming full-length, the pressure is on.
