True to Arizona punk-pop quintet The Summer Set's name, "Someone Like You" is a light, innocent video that focuses on summer love. Topical, no?
Detailing a day in the life of summer love, the video, shot mostly through a series of point-of-view shots, follows our couple as they wake up, hit the beach and drive around joyously with no destination. While mainly juxtaposed with footage of the band performing, the two stories intersect toward the end, as our female conquest grabs a camera herself and starts shooting the band. It's a simple yet effective video that mirrors the light, airy nature of the pop track.
On their upcoming Everything's Fine album, the follow-up to 2009's Love Like This, The Summer Set supplements their energetic, boisterous pop sound with acoustic, stripped-down tracks for a more expansive and mature sound. Everything's Fine is out July 19 on Razor & Tie.
