Since releasing her last album, All I Ever Wanted, in early 2009, Kelly Clarkson has been kind of flown under the musical radar. Fans have been waiting patiently to hear from the "Already Gone" singer, and finally, we have some rumblings!
Though it may only be a demo, "Let Me Down" is the latest offering from Team Clarkson and we'll jump right in and happily say that IT'S GOOD! "Let Me Down" reminds us a little bit of old-school Pink, and we think that's a step in the right direction. The song's verse has a bit of an urban feel to it, while the chorus still holds true to the booming pop-rock sensibility that defined Kelly's monster hit (and still the most-effective workout song of all time) "Since U Been Gone."
And in true Kelly fashion, she seems mad pissed (which is why we love you, girl): "You're only gonna let me down/When it counts, you countdown/You're only gonna turn me out/As I burn, you burn out/You're only gonna make me feel so crazy/But when I think we could be something/You go and let me down, let me down, oh." But we're not gonna let you down, KC. Especially when you're bringing us dope tuneage like this.
