I love a tour-themed video, and I really love a lyric video, so shouts to All Time Low for incorporating my two favorite techniques into their latest, "Forget About It."
Unlike the video for "I Feel Like Dancin,'" "Forget About It" opts for a more lo-fi, behind-the-scenes look at the antics that take place during an All Time Low tour. And by "antics" I mean "band-wide shirtless dancing parties, water gun fights, weight lifting, and secret pre-show rituals which may or may not include burger scarfing." Oh, and also TONS of fans. "Forget About It" shows fans waiting to meet the band outside (in the rain!), fans sweating while mosh pitting, fans getting All Time Low autographs, and most importantly, fans straight up rocking out. And as if the tour video aspect wasn't enough to thrill me, "Forget About It" also doubles as a lyric video, with the words to the song plastered on the screen in a punk font that's totally All Time Low-y.
"Forget About It" is the perfect tour video for a band whose happiest place is probably... well, on tour. Oh, and keep a look out for the shot of drummer Rian Dawson holding a female fan's unmentionables. A winning scene right there, folks!
