Well, kids, looks like Chris Brown is taking this rap thing pretty seriously. Chris, who's known mainly for his panty-dropping R&B crooning skillz, seems fully committed to taking his shot at spitting rhymes. And while the singer-to-rapper crossover is usually a messy affair full of industry casualties, we can report that Chris' rap game is actually legit.
His latest track "Real Hip Hop 4," which features Chris Brown's good bud Kevin McCall, is propelled by a fiery old-school-sounding track that serves as the backdrop for Chris to rap slash call out his haters. He asks, "You think I give a f*** what you think about me?/I got my chin up, brother walkin' properly.../F*** walkin' on eggshells." And later: "Everywhere I go I feel like I'm a target." A shout-out to Chris' recent on-air outburst, perhaps?
Maybe with a little more practice with this whole rapping thing, Chris Brown might become the next Kanye West? What do you guys think?
