As we all know by now, Lady Gaga‘s not your ordinary pop star. She wears dresses made of meat, plays pianos that are on fire and grows armpit hair in a lovely shade of indigo. So you might have guessed that the Lady’s appearance as a guest judge on “So You Think You Can Dance” was a bit, how shall I say, unique.

But we have to give it to Mother Monster. She absolutely lived up to her commitment to spreading self-love and acceptance. Her criticisms were constructive, kind, and most important, rife with some seriously dope sound bites.

Here are our five favorite quotes from Lady Gaga’s appearance on “So You Think You Can Dance”:

1.) On the contestants who made her cry: “You are absolutely incredible and congratulations. Whether you know No. 1, No. 3, No. 10, who cares? You’ve got it.”

2.) On relating platinum records and hand position (?): “You know what? After I sell a bunch of records I take all the platinum ones off the walls and I pretend like I haven’t sold a damn one, and I’ve gotta go and do it all again. So, I think you should just relax those hands a little bit.”

3.) On STOMP and Laurianne Gibson: “I grew up in New York City so STOMP was just like emerging when I was a kid, and it was this huge, huge thing. And maybe it’s because Laurianne Gibson is my choreographer and I’m really close with her, but it’s the interpretation of hip-hop that I thought was a little bit contrived.”

4. ) On stage props: “You know me, I love a prop.” (I’ll pause for a collective “DUUUUH”).

5.) On throwing shoes: “You know, in the dance community when you do a really good job, what you do is you throw your shoe at the stage [at which point Gaga threw her giant 20-inch platform shoe on stage]… I don’t know what sex you are, I don’t know what race you are, I don’t know where you’re from, how much money you have, where you came from…all I know is that was the future and that’s all that matters. You were born this way.”
