Houndstooth, the pattern that Lady Gaga is wearing on every inch of her body in this photo, was reportedly made popular by Edward VIII when he was the Prince of Wales back in the olden times when there was no internet and people had to like, sail across the ocean for cardamom and myrrh or whatever. But alas, it's 2011 and clearly Lady Gaga is taking houndstooth to the next level, because she's kind of the mayor of Next Level Town.
Seen here in NYC before her appearance on "The View," Gaga is (hopefully) being led by her bodyguards into the studio, because we're pretty sure you can't see through wallpapered sunglasses. And we love that the "Edge Of Glory" singer paired the "all houndstooth everything" ensemb with some very ladylike pearls and a dainty gold ring. Anything else would be far too much.
