It's been more than a couple weeks now, but we're still nursing the wounds incurred by the tragic news that Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony were splitting up. The desert dancing in the new Marc and Pitbull video "Rain Over Me" helped us feel a little bit better, but the gorgeous new cover shot of J. Lo on the coveted September issue of Vanity Fair will undoubtedly help us take crucial steps forward in the healing process.
Looking impeccably chic in a super-deep V-cut white top, in her first interview postbreakup, Jennifer is candid about the issues in her marriage but keeps it classy by refusing to air her dirty laundry. The "On The Floor" singer dances around the issues a little bit yet leaves plenty of room for curious onlookers to read between the lines: "This was the hardest decision I've ever had to face. I really wanted this family to work... We both did... But I remain an eternal optimist about love." J. Lo then confidently declares, "To understand that a person is not good for you, or that that person is not treating you in the right way, or that he is not doing the right thing for himself -- if I stay, then I am not doing the right thing for me. I love myself enough to walk away from that now."
We agree with Jennifer Lopez -- self-love is the key to lasting happiness. Self-love, and a big, fat check from "American Idol."
