It's easy to get caught up on today's younger pop stars like Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Britney Spears, what, with their fancy 1980s birthdays and all. But let us not forget about our foremothers (?), guys! Madonna turned 53 yesterday (and still managed to find time to make out with her 24-year-old boyfriend, OK?), and here we see a 45-years-young Janet Jackson on stage at her Detroit show last night, working that hair like nobody's business.
Sporting a white denim crop jacket (which deserves props in and of itself), studded suspenders and enough extensions to outfit every Real Housewife, Janet shows the younger ladies how it's done. And the cool part about it is, she doesn't even need to! Her music library speaks for itself. (Hello, the woman has sold more than 100 million records.) She could honestly just sit up on stage in sweatpants with a mic while eating a Lean Cuisine, and she'd still sell out arenas nationwide.
