OK, get this: 11-year-old Caroline Gonzalez from Forney, Texas, was named mayor for a day after doing good kid deeds like being active in student council and recycling and stuff. Under her temporary political reign, how did Gonzalez choose to better her community? In a totally genius move, SHE NAMED A STREET AFTER JUSTIN BIEBER!!!! A sign reading "Justin Bieber Way" was erected for 24 hours in Forney, and before all you Budget Bobs out there start griping about "taxpayer money," relax! This thing only cost the city $20, so let the kid dream for a second, jeez. Also, get her a MENSA card like, yesterday.
When asked about why chose to honor the Biebs with a street sign, Gonzalez's answer was straightforward: ''Because I really like Justin Bieber, I like his music and I like him. I thought, why not have a street in my hometown named after my favorite singer?'' You're preaching to the choir, soul sister. We'd rename all the streets in New York after our favorite singers if we could: Beyoncé Avenue! Ke$ha $treet! Lady Gaga Parkway! Yo Bloomberg, hit us up.
For real, though, what if they let Caroline keep this sign up FOREVER?! How amazing would it be to have the return address on your Christmas cards say "561 Justin Bieber Way"? Umm, the answer is completely amazing! There is no other answer! Best street in America!
