Another another day, another lyric video. Except not really, since what that actually implies is the new We The Kings lyric video for "Say You Like Me" isn't special. But it really is!
"Say You Like Me" is a fun, cheeky, high energy ode to that one girl who you just NEED to make fall in love with you. According to We The Kings, every other girl might as well be chopped liver, and if the band had only one wish it would be for this lucky gal to be obsessed with them 'til the end of time. Except wait, maybe they'd also have to ask for another wish to clone her... since there are four band members. Okay, treading into uncomfortable territory!
Frontman Travis pines, "I wish my heart was always on her mind/'Cause she's on mine like all day, all the time/Forget me not, forget me now/I've come too far to turn around." Seriously, what the hell kind of perfume is this chick spritzing, and can I order it on Amazon?
After pining some more, the song's quieter verse bursts into a booming chorus where, believe it or not, these rich, famous, and cute band boys are still longing for this insane mystery girl who refuses to date them: "Cause I'm never going down/I'm never giving up/I'm never gonna leave/So put your hands up."
Wow. Persistence is so hot. We really don't understand this girl's reluctance. Maybe if everyone downloads the single and makes "Say You Like Me" the number one song in the country, she'll come around?
