In a recent Entertainment Weekly interview, Kelly Clarkson likened her slew of song leaks to being robbed, saying, "Oh my God, have you ever been robbed? I have. I've been physically robbed a couple of times, but this is much worse." Sorry Kel, that gives us the sadz! But we have to say, now that "Mr. Know It All" is officially out, we can see why those thieves wanted it.
The first single, "Mr. Know It All," off Kelly's forthcoming album Stronger premiered last night on Kelly's website. Unlike several of Kelly's leaks, which have gone down a more traditional pop-rock road, "Mr. Know It All" has a distinct R&B flavor, showcasing a side to her vocals we haven't seen in a while. As opposed to the "Since U Been Gone" Kelly, the "Mr. Know It All" Kelly sounds softer and more feminine as she sings: "Mr. Know It All, well ya/Ya think you know it all/But ya don't know a thing at all/Ain't it, ain't it something y'all."
After a more subdued verse, the chorus slips into a syncopated beat, reminding us a little of Bruno Mars' "Just The Way You Are." Hey, guys. Kelly Clarkson's back.
Kelly Clarkson's fifth studio album, Stronger, is due out Oct. 25.
