What's the sweetest way to ask someone to marry you? Spell the proposal in fireworks or with lots of rose petals? When you're Romeo (formerly Lil' Romeo), you do it in a remix! A few days ago, Romeo, who got MAD hot, by the way, posted a homemade video asking Demi Lovato to marry him, even promising her a $50 million wedding, which is like the equivalent of two Kardashian weddings. If that's not adorbz (and expensive!) enough, Romeo took the wooing a step further and dropped a romantic rap version of Lovato's "Skyscraper," and it's so seriously swoonworthy that even Shakespeare would be proud.
The song opens with Romeo's deep voice dropping the equivalent of a love letter over the song's soaring, majestic beat: "I never wanna see her cry again/ I'll be there when you need me though/and I know they call me Romeo/but I swear this is no video." The verse continues with a ring offering (GET IT, GIRL!) and even a solid Harry Potter reference: "If this was a movie, you're Hermione and I'll be Harry." Demi's chorus chimes in, uniting Demi and Romeo (Remi?) in an intentional duet.
Romeo gets MAYJOR creativity points in our book. Forget flowers, guys, rerecording your crush's emotional hit demonstrates talent and good taste! Whatever Demi's answer, we hope it at least leads to a future collabo, be it in the studio or at the altar... that is if Tyler, The Creator doesn't win over Demi first.
