At this point, Beyoncé could literally run for president during her third trimester and we wouldn't even blink. As you all remember, Beyoncé announced her pregnancy at this year's VMAs. But unlike other moms-to-be who take up a nine-month residency on the couch with their feet elevated (and rightly so), Beyoncé just carries right along being an amazing, talented, workaholic famous person.
Last week, we brought you Beyoncé's super preggo "Countdown" video in addition to a snippet of her new video, "Love On Top." And now -- EARLY CHRISTMAS, THANK YOU VERY MUCH -- we're treated to the full version of the "Love On Top" video, and it's even better than we anticipated.
While the full-length "Love On Top" video still primarily consists of Beyoncé dancing her ass off in a studio with a troupe of male backup dancers, it doesn't end there -- Beyoncé has the chutzpah to do one costume change for EACH MODULATION! By our count, "Love On Top" modulates like, four times, and as the song gets higher, Beyoncé's outfits get more bedazzled. In addition to a simple black leotard and studded admiral's hat, Bey dons a chic white pantsuit followed by a black tuxedo jacket with mad bling on the lapel. B also rocks a full-on gold lamé suit, which viewers should not try at home.
Even though she was part of the most successful girl groups of all time, and even though girls run the world, Beyoncé experiments with being in a boy band in "Love On Top" (like a way less bitter version of "If I Were A Boy"!) And of course, it works.
Today's (and every day's) takeaway? Just when you think Beyoncé can't outdo herself, she outdoes herself.
