It's a Young Money party, y'all! Drake and his Young Money boss Lil Wayne have partnered on a super-sexy slow jam, "The Real Her." Slated to appear on Drake's forthcoming album, Take Care, "The Real Her" kinda reminds us of the softer, sweeter side of Drake we first met when "Best I Ever Had" came out. As he did on his recent song "Make Me Proud," Drake, led by a melodic piano line, once again uses his verses to support women and sing their praises: "People around you/Should really have nothing to say/Me, I'm just proud of the fact that you've done it your way.../Just met her/Already feel like I know the real her/You got that s*** somebody will look for/But won't find." Even when he curses, dude is mad poetic.
A clear and crisp Wayne comes in next and shows off his vulnerable side, singing about a girl who just may not be into him: "'Cause to her I'm just a rapper/And soon she'll have met another/So if tonight's an accident/Tomorrow we'll recover/And I know I'm not supposed to judge a book by its cover/I don't want be in the blind/but sometimes I Stevie Wonder about her."
"The Real Her" is set for release on Drake's upcoming album Take Care, due out Nov. 15.
