It's time for another round of 5 Must-Hear Pop Songs for the Week!
Next week is Halloween! Are you ready? Do you have your costume yet? Wait, what? You're going as a bunny, too? Oh. Well, now I've got to think of another costume.
To celebrate, I thought I'd do a roundup of pop songs that... well, they've got nothing to do with Halloween. But they ARE pop songs! And isn't that all that really matters here?
Read on to hear about Miss Clarkson's finest, an offering from a Pussycat Dolls member that isn't Nicole Scherzinger (!), a major new debut by a K-Pop girl group coming to America...and more!

1.) Kelly Clarkson, "Honestly"
On Monday, Kelly Clarkson released Stronger, her free-of-flaw fifth studio album. And as I promised in last week's wrap-up, I will not dedicate this week's entire Top 5 to the album (even though I want to and it totally deserves to be that way.) So instead, I'll just highlight my current favorite song. (BUT HOW CAN I CHOOSE JUST ONE?!)
"Honestly" was produced by Greg Kurstin, the same musical genius behind Lily Allen's It's Not Me, It's You, Sia's We Are Born and one of Ke$ha's best songs ever, "Animal." As the song's chilly electronica swirls in, Clarkson does what she does best, pouring her heart out on top of the spooky, atmospheric beat: "You can judge me, love me/If you're hating me, do it honestly," Clarkson pleads. Not only is it one of her most vulnerable vocals in years, but it's probably one of Clarkson's most emotionally honest, soul-bearing songs she's ever recorded. Devastating and perfect. + LISTEN TO KELLY CLARKSON, "HONESTLY"
2.) Sneaky Sound System, "Really Want to See You Again"
Australian dance-pop duo Sneaky Sound System have just set sail across the sea heading Stateside to release their brand-new studio effort, From Here to Anywhere: a bangin', gym-ready mix of BPM-raising '80s and '90s house beats, as well as classic disco gems.
"I don't want to think about you... but I really wanna see you again," the ever sassy lead vocalist Miss Connie coos on "Really Want to See You Again," an instant favorite from the collection. Set on top of a throbbing '90s house beat that brings all the classics back to mind, from Inner City to La Bouche. It's undoubtedly the juiciest, most danceable track about wanting to see someone again since -- well, since Miley Cyrus' classic, "See You Again." + LISTEN TO SNEAKY SOUND SYSTEM, "REALLY WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN"

It's about time for THIS Pop Up Video's arrival. Christina Aguilera's "Dirrty" made its Pop Up premiere, and we give the still-sultry songbird props because even nine years later this song still bumps. Just like in Britney's "I'm A Slave 4 U," which we conveniently discussed in full detail earlier this week, there's a lot of panting, writhing, sweating and glamorous long blonde hair looking stringy yet somehow seductive.
But just when we thought we knew everything there was to know about Christina Aguilera's "Dirrty," Pop Up done schooled us. So, ladies, move; gentlemen, move: Put on your most assless of assless chaps because we just learned 10 new facts about Christina Aguilera's "Dirrty" video:

Any day that includes a dance-inspiring new song is my kind of day. Also, those hummus pretzel containers -- highlight of my entire 9-5. That The Black Keys dropped a new song, "Lonely Boy," in conjunction with a fun video makes today officially effing stellar. The blues-rock-tipped duo of guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney are releasing their seventh (!!!) studio album, El Camino (produced by Danger Mouse), on Dec. 6, from which this little ditty hails.
The "Lonely Boy" video is a one-camera, one-shot deal focused on what looks to be one solitary man turning an office break into a dance break. While he mouths the words to the song (and I dare you to not do the same, with its "Whoa-oh-oh" sing-alongs and the catchy "I got a love that keeps me waiting" refrain), he takes us through some dance eras of yore. There's the "Twist" (ask your great-grandma), the "Molly Ringwald"/"Footloose" moves (ask your cool aunt) and those moves that John Travolta's busted out in every movie since 1977 or so. I think I speak for everyone except for like, Jay-Z when I say, "Why aren't my office breaks this fun?"

If there's one thing we know for sure, it's that Taio Cruz knows how to party. He also knows how to create chart-topping tracks, so why not combine these two talents? DUH, brilliant. Cue "Hangover," a foolproof pop song that's basically gonna have everyone in the universe wishing they could party like Mr. Cruz.
The raucous video documents an entire night of debauchery, and Taio is right in the eye of the storm. Decked out in a leather jacket and his signature square-rimmed shades, we learn that last night's festivities included (but were not limited to) copious amounts of drinking, two adult women sleeping in a playpen and a dude in a panda costume hitting on every chick in sight. Alcohol's a crazy drug, guys.
Flo Rida's cameo is in true baller style, as he moves the entire video shoot to the interior of a slick private jet fully equipped with liquor, hot babes and a strobe light. And as the video comes to a close, we see the true horrors aftermath of the previous night's escapades -- thongs are strewn all across the room, Taio is basically dead to the world, and somehow his boat ended up on the balcony of his effing HOUSE.
Hey, there may be some minor interior and exterior damage, but it's all in the spirit of a rocking good fete, right? Plus, dude's a rock star! You know he's got some mad insurance coverage for these kind of "accidents."

It was Katy Perry's 27th birthday yesterday! In addition to having a full-on jealousy blackout over all of Katy's incredible accomplishments at such a young age, I also suggested a few activities Katy could do on her special day. But despite my great ideas of a "Real Housewives" marathon and eating the hell out of some sushi, Katy went a different route. She's too chic to spend the night in her apartment overdosing on refined carbs, anyway!
Instead, Katy Perry found herself on stage at Belfast's Odyssey Arena during a stop on her "California Dreams" tour. According to a video taken by an audience member, Katy's tour crew surprised her by getting the entire audience to sing "Happy Birthday." Then Katy's tour pals presented her with a massive cake, but after gracefully blowing out her candles, Katy decided that the right thing to do was throw the ENTIRE cake out into the audience. I mean, they were probably starving after dancing the whole night, right?
At the end of the video, you hear an exasperated Katy cry "DAMN!" (apparently she really hates surprises!). Sorry, but did you really think your tour fam was going to let your birthday go unnoticed? Not only do they love you, but you da boss-woman, girl. It's always a good idea to wish your boss a happy b-day.

Ashlee Simpson and her boyfriend Vincent Piazza had a date in New York last night, and judging by this photo they look like the kind of couple you see sitting across from you at a restaurant looking all lovey-dovey and you immediately role your eyes. I believe this phenomenon is called "So cute I wanna barf."
Ashlee looks girl crush-worthy as always in an oversize sweater, matching black accessories and leather pants, while Vince kinda looks like the IT guy at your office (it's OK -- we know he cleans up well). Is it just me or do leather pants drive you crazy, also? They look so good on Ashlee, and then when you get the idea to get your own pair, the fitting room session suddenly turns into a sobbing session. The next thing you know, the salesperson is in the fitting room with you, peeling them off leg by leg and telling you everything's going to be OK. Maybe that's just my experience, IDK.

We Are The In Crowd eschews the "ripped-from-the-headlines" literal interpretation of rumors and hearsay in their "Rumor Mill" video, from their just-released Best Intentions album, and instead opt for a lighthearted approach to basic misunderstandings and life's little universal welp-today-sucks scenarios.
There's the splashed-with-mud snafu, the classic "old lady mistakes your altruistic assistance for a mugging" situation, and something involving a cat, a tree and a hard fall. But no one's as stuck as lead singer Taylor Jardine, who's literally trapped in an elevator but still finds time to showcase her pitch-perfect powerhouse vocals, which sound better than ever backed by Jordan Eckes, Cameron Hurley and Mike Ferri who crank out some finely synthesized power-pop chords and Rob Chianelli, who adds some expert drum fills and flairs. And the "Rumor Mill" video, directed by Kevin McVey, isn't just a series of misfortunes. Filmed in the former (and creepy and allegedly haunted!) Linda Vista Community Hospital in L.A. (where Paramore filmed their "Monster" video, by the way), the video features performances shots of the band in peak form.
Fortunately, despite a busted foot and top-down muddiness, all's well that ends well for We Are The In Crowd, who band together to save Taylor. Sorry to spoil the last scene, but we love a happy ending.

Twihards, set your faces to stunned. We've got the premiere of Christina Perri's "A Thousand Years" video, and it's a Bella and Edward LOVEXTRAVAGANZA (I made that word up). Candles! Slo-mo kissing! Sweeping vistas! Most important, CLOSE-UP SHOTS OF THE RING!
In the video, a solemn-looking Christina guides us to her candle-filled sanctuary that overlooks the ocean as we get a full-length view of her long black gown (...because I think that's what you have to wear in music videos about vampire weddings). The video cuts back and forth from Christina on the floor of her room surrounded by tea lights to scenes from the upcoming movie, "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1." Christina sings as Bella and Edward exchange vows: "I have died every day waiting for you/Darling, don't be afraid, I have loved you/For a thousand years/I'll love you for a thousand more." Yo, this video just stole ALL YOUR ROMANCE, bros. Sorry, but don't even bother with that cheap-ass bouquet of roses -- vampire love trumps all!
Christina Perri's "A Thousand Years" is featured on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part I. The album hits stores Nov. 8.

Like you needed ANOTHER reason to want to go on tour with Britney Spears. Brit tweeted this photo of her hanging out with her backup dancers yesterday as she expressed her adoration for her crew: "Meet my dancers! Such talented and cool people. They are like fam. LOVE them all." Um, if I was one of those dancers, I'd Photoshop-on a big yellow arrow pointing to my face and retweet that every day for a year. Or five.
Not only are we totally jealous that these dancers get to hang out with Britney all day, every day as part of their job requirement, but another job requirement of theirs is WEARING SWEATS. I spot at least six sweatshirts in this photo, and that's a pretty high ratio. Oh also, let us remind you that all of these dancers probably make way more money than you.
To recap -- these people hang out with Britney Spears every day, they wear sweat attire on the job and they make tons of money. Too bad I ended my ballet career in the second grade after I got my first Nintendo. Sad face.
