50 Cent is back with a banger. The rapper's latest is "Stop Crying," a hard-hitting track that features Fitty's gruffest flow in years. The creepy-crawly beat would've been a good fit for Halloween (or Tyler, the Creator's last album), but it's still spooky. When he sings "Don't cry/dry your eyes” on the hook, you have to wonder what the MC did to bring the tears. Don't worry, he'll tell you: He raps about leaving his last girlfriend at the altar, his gun collection and "comin' like the reaper." How could you be so heartless, Fitty?
We’re pretty sure you can't drink Vitamin Water and kill people (totally stressful!), but it's fun to hear the rapper sound hungry again -– especially as his career is about to hit the decade mark. "Stop Crying" is the first single from "The Big 10," an upcoming free mixtape that comes in early celebration of the 10th anniversary of his 2002 "50 Cent is the Future" mixtape, his first major release. Aw, we remember when he was still a hip-hop baby, rapping about his first trip to the "da club." Time flies when you’re sipping Bacardi.
Fitty promised on Twitter that "The Big 10" is "better then a lot albums out this year trust me." Looking forward to finding out. In the meantime, hear the new track below.
