The cool thing about being a young band and hustling out on the road is that a creative kick can tear through you at any given time, and boom, you've recorded your next music video. That's how it happened for the dance-pop Chicago-based boys of Victorian Halls and their latest clip, "It All Started In The Hall."
The video takes place in the back of a van, and yes, it's about as creepy as you would imagine a video that's taped in the back of a van might be. Lead singer Sean Lenart is dangerously close to the camera (nice eyes, bro) as he frenetically warns us about... something gone awry (we're not really sure, honestly -- I failed almost all of the entire analogy on my SATs): "It all started in the hall as a cover-up, a white flash as a call interrupted us all/Now my head is blank and efforts are fake, you said I could draw you in any color or shape."
Keyboardist Carlos Luna spoke about where the band got the inspiration for the impromptu video: "Originally the video was going to be a lyric video... But I was able to piece together a really fast, stylized horror-type thing. It's a lot considering it's just four guys in a van just singing." This might have something to do with Victorian Halls being attractive, but we'd be up for more D.I.Y. videos from these guys.
