After going all PSA on us in her "We Found Love" video, it looks like Rihanna's lightening up the mood on the set of her "You Da One" video. Several photos from the shoot have recently surfaced, and not only do they show her making all sorts of badass snarly faces (she's so good at those), but HELLO! She's got new short, blonde locks!
Ensemble-wise, Ri dons a white hat with a matching blouse, jeans shorts and bird-print black leggings. She also carries a cane, which, in combination with her outfit, looks to us like a shout-out to "A Clockwork Orange." Or maybe she's paying homage to Britney Spears' FLAWLESS cane dancing scene in "Stronger."
Because the stills don't reveal much of a plot, we're going to use the lyrics to imagine a potential story line. Rihanna sings, "Yes, I'm kind of crazy/That's what happens, baby/When you put it down, you shouldn't have given it to me good like that." Ri's never been shy about telling us how she loves to get it on with her man, so maybe she's using the cane as some sort of... bedroom prop? Or perhaps she's about to play strip poker, which is why she added one more layer by wearing leggings under her shorts. (Does her custom fanged grill count as an item of clothing, too?) Strategy!
Whatever the case may be, you and I both know that we're gonna love whatever the eff she comes up. IT'S RIHANNA, duh. (Hopefully it has nothing to do with that eyedrop scene in "A Clockwork Orange," though. #forevernightmares)
