Outasight (born Richard Andrew) might not look like your typical Yonkers-born rapper (DMX, Jadakiss, Styles P), but a good song is a good song. His debut single, "Tonight Is The Night," was not only featured in a national Pepsi commercial and broke the top 30 on the Billboard Pop Songs chart, but we also can't stop playing it. That's got to be worth something.
This week, we're filling you in on Outasight's creative process, what he thinks about performing live, and "Tonight Is The Night"'s party rockin' video. When it comes to laying down tracks, Outasight isn't exactly concerned about the result: "I don't really think about making people dance. It first has to be about me being comfortable with the song, writing lyrics that are honest... and making sure it's just who I am" -- a great tip not only for writing music, but also for picking a new hair color. (Think about it.) Outasight also lets us in on where he's "the most normal": onstage. "[Performing live] feels right... I had the amazing opportunity... to perform in front of 20,000 people, and I think I could get used to that."
'Sight also shared his thoughts on his hit "Tonight Is The Night," explaining that the more people that hear your music, the more momentum it's going to gain. "[The song] got new levels of exposure that I've never really had... Starting off with the Pepsi commercial and then having a chance to be introduced on a national platform like 'X Factor'... There's just more people hearing it." True, but they're also liking it. That's another key factor in the equation.
Outsight has released several mixtapes since 2007, but his debut studio album is due out in 2012.

When Demi Lovato goes Latin dancing with her friends, she doesn't just head to the local club; she goes to Puerto Rico! OK, technically she's already there to perform a concert in Hato Rey, but some famous peeps actually have private jets to take them anywhere, anytime. And sometimes we want to pretend that we have one too. Is that so wrong?
The "Skyscraper" singer tweeted a pic of herself with two amigas along with a caption, "Just got done salsa dancing my butt off in Puerto Rico... With my girls @bootsieb and @MsPChu!!" Judging that all three ladies still look adorbz after an evening of dancing in the heat, we're thinking they're salsa pros (or famous people just don't sweat). They have private jets and don't sweat -- stars, they're nothing like us.

Mindless Behavior is the most selfless boy band ever. Instead of diamond earrings, the latest Nike dunks, or a blinged out Xbox, all Prodigy, Roc Royal, Ray Ray and Princeton want for Christmas are their girls! (We're assuming they have crushes on four individual ladies, or else that'd get pretty weird pretty fast).
"Christmas With My Girl" features the boys decked in holiday gear, sporting some red puffy jackets, red sunglasses, red flannel and those hunting hats with the flap things (we know fashion!). Stationed outside a house in the suburbs, the boys rap and sing as perfectly shaped snowflakes fall down around them. A teen love/cuteness overload occurs as each of the guys try to flirt with girls and make this Christmas the best they've ever had. There's the gratuitous "lets build a snowman with a carrot nose" scene, the "let's play games by the fire" scene and of course, the "come over and help me decorate the Christmas tree" scene. The slick flirting tactics of these mini-bosses receive rave reviews, and each Mindless Behavior dude gets a really big hug from their girl! The video closes with a perfectly curated montage of the MB boys sledding down a snow-covered hill only to wrap up the evening with a romantic marshmallow roasting session for their ladies.
Damn, those are some mad thoughtful dudes right there to just wanna give their girls a perfect Christmas. Though I'm pretty confident that if Santa "accidentally" slipped a Bentley or Maybach under the Christmas tree, nobody would complain.

Opening with a screech of feedback and a blast of machine gun beats, "Born to Lose" at first feels like more of the same awesomely eardrum-punishing noise-pop we've come to expect from Sleigh Bells. But as the song bashes on, the Brooklyn-based duo serves up more than its share of sweet surprises.
The first single off of the band's sophomore record Reign Of Terror (due out on Valentine's Day, for all you savage sweethearts out there), "Born to Lose" pairs Derek Miller's snarly guitar riffs with some extra-tender vocals from Alexis Krauss, especially when her voice goes all little-girl-spooky on the song's refrain of "Where did you go?" In the final minute of "Born to Lose," Derek's guitar turns from piercing to shockingly pretty as Sleigh Bells treats us to a fever-dreamy extended outro.
But don't worry -- Sleigh Bells are hardly getting all soft on us. As evidenced by the Reign Of Terror trailer, the follow-up to their 2010 debut should be every bit the "sonic equivalent of a beautiful shotgun to the head" we were promised in some recently revealed album details. And with track titles like "True Shred Guitar," "Demons" and "Road to Hell," it's sure to be a gorgeously terror-filled Valentine's Day indeed.

It's hard feeling even slightly cool when the four heartthrobs of Mindless Behavior (aka Prodigy, Roc Royal, Ray Ray and Princeton) ooze more dopeness in a single sneeze. But not only were the R&B mini-moguls cool enough to share an exclusive look at the set of their "Christmas With My Girl" video, but they even spilled secrets in an exclusive interview! We can already feel our fly meter on the rise.
The "My Girl" singers admit that they're "all pretty clean," but when asked which one of the teens is messiest, Roc Royal got the blame. We hope you guys at least make him do the dishes on the tour bus to make up for that. Besides their gift of cleanliness, the group shared other hidden talents. Ray Ray pulls out a hilarious Jay-Z impression, while Roc Royal shares his wide vocal range: "I have the deepest voice in the group. It went from the highest to lowest."
Our second exclusive video with Mindless Behavior offers a sneak peek behind the scenes at the foursome's "Christmas With My Girl" set along with a special guest star -- Frosty! They chat about filming with real snow in L.A. and discuss their favorite holiday tunes. Plus, Princeton offers fans the ultimate surprise: "We're going to definitely do a Christmas album. I think it would be cool to give the fans a great, positive album." We hope that comes with some kind of special synchronized Christmas dance. Why hasn't anyone done one of those yet?
+ Watch Mindless Behavior's Q&A interview below to hear about their messy side, fan gifts and more. Also, learn the guys' favorite Christmas songs in our video interview on the set of their video "Christmas With My Girl" after the jump.

Everyone knows that no one will buy anything anymore unless the product's website has some kind of interactive video. And Justin Bieber's a smart businessteen, so he's giving fans a pretty hilarious opportunity to "star" in one of his videos.
Over at experience.justinbiebersomeday.com, fans can upload a photo of themselves and watch it play out on a phone that Justin is holding in his video that's promoting his fragrance, Someday. "Hey, I'm Justin," he says as he opens the video. "I just wanted to shout out to this girl I saw at Starbucks the other day. She's like a vision in my mind... but the thing I remember most was your amazing scent. I couldn't get through the crowd so I managed to snag a few pics. Check it out." And that's when your photo shows up on Justin Bieber's phone! Commence mass hysteria.
Listen, we know this adorable little video is probably meant for 16-year-olds, but being the super mature professionals we are, we thought we'd upload some photos that probably weren't intended to be featured on Justin's phone. Or just a whole bunch of pictures of cats, whatev.

The internet lost its marbles earlier today when Britney Spears tweeted something that sounded like she could possibly be referring to an engagement ring: "OMG. Last night [boyfriend] Jason [Trawick] surprised me with the one gift I've been waiting for. Can't wait to show you! SO SO SO excited!!!! Xxo." And immediately everyone thought, "HOLY S*** BRITNEY SPEARS IS ENGAGED." And... SHE IS!!!!! BRITNEY SPEARS IS ENGAGED!!!! The internet might actually spontaneously combust very soon. Soak up all those cat GIFs while you can!
Obviously we're super excited and we've always wanted nothing but the best for Ms. Spears -- whoops, make that, "The soon-to-be Mrs. Trawick." Not only does Jason seem like a super rad and normal dude, but, we all saw what he was working with in Brit's "Criminal" video (#schwing). So take our congrats and multiply it by eight -- one for each of Jason's abs. CONGRATS, BRITNEY!!! Now go get married! (And tweet us some pics, thx.)

It's not very often that you see chicks dancing around in bikinis while it's snowing, but I guess that's a testament to the power Chris Brown wields over the ladies. In his new Kevin McCall (aka K-Mac)-assisted video "Strip," Chris is chilling somewhere with snow-covered mountaintops yet somehow manages to throw a boiling hot bikinis-only party in his mansion. But it's not just chicks -- Chris, too, gets a little naked as he "accidentally" lifts his shirt up to reveal what we're assuming is like, a bazillion pack of abs. As the party rages on, Chris hits on more chicks and reveals his true motive: "Girl I just wanna see you strip, right now/Cause it's late, late/Girl I just wanna see you strip/Girl I just wanna see you strip." Wait, what do you want to see your girl do, Chris? We missed it.
Party cohost and wordsmith K-Mac is also a shirtless wonder as he begs the scantily clad chicks around him to get a little more rowdy and a little less dressed: "You got it hot momma/You're hotter than a sauna/I wanna put clothes on your body like a banana/The only reason I dress you in that designer/Is to get you out that Dolce and Gabbana."
While this may be slightly controversial, I'd potentially consider playing a PG round of strip poker just to get some free designer duds. I mean, anyone seen THIS lately? Case closed. And try not to judge me, kthxbai.

It's no surprise that Twitter seems to be the social network getting the most celeb love these days. But Britney Spears is an equal opportunity updater, dividing her time and content equally between Twitter and that other social networking site, also known as Facebook.
If you've spent the bulk of your time perusing Brit's Twitter page for updates and nuggets on her life, then let us advise you to also pop over to Facebook where you'll find a plethora of photos displayed on Britney's new "timeline" (when will they stop with the changes?!). You'll also find crucial information, like her "relationship status" (TAKEN!), her employer (Mickey Mouse Club!?) and her hometown (which we all know is Kentwood, Louisiana).
Check out one of the latest pics on Brit's timeline: A BADASS motorcycle that Brit bought her main man, Jason Trawick. Britney linked to a photo of the motorcycle on Twitter and said, "Hbday Jason! He looked so cool in the video, that I had to get him a new motorcycle... Check out this new Confederate Bike I got him!" Jason played the "bad guy" in Brit's "Criminal" video and escaped getting caught by speeding on his bike off into the distance.
It's really cool when life imitates art, guys, especially when that means having your hot, world-famous GF buy you a dope-ass motorcycle for your birthday. Hopefully Brit and Jason don't start shoplifting though.
