We're pretty sure we're not the only ones who no longer want to attend live shows unless they are 100 percent identical to the live show happening in fun.'s latest video, "We Are Young." We've got the premiere of the New York-based pop/rock outlet's latest, featuring Janelle Monae, and it's a pretty kick-ass way (literally) to ring in the new year, in our humble opinion. (BTW, you might recognize "We Are Young" as that song you really liked on "Glee" but had never heard before. You're welcome!)
Lead singer Nate Ruess belts out his pro-youth anthem onstage at a fancy live performance (bow ties!) while the crowd quite literally loses their minds in the meantime... in extreme slow motion (the best way to go crazy!). Frame by frame, plants fly into the shot, people fall from the rafters and disco balls crash down from the ceiling. "Tonight we are young/So let's set the world on fire/We can burn brighter than the sun." We love the sentiment, but we're pretty happy fun. didn't actually douse the place in lighter fluid. As they say, "It's all fun. and games until someone gets arrested."
"We Are Young" is featured on fun.'s second studio album, Some Nights, due out Feb. 21.
