We've been obsessed with Far East Movement since they came out with their infectious "Like A G6" in 2010. And "Jello," their recent collabo with Rye Rye, is hitting us just as hard. (We're also pretty sure it's Bill Cosby-approved!)
As is the case with most of our favorite videos, "Jello" is sporting a dual plotline. The first is your tried-and-true "I'm partying in a cool room with flashing lights and flowing booze" moment. As they chill out, drink and dance, FEM and Rye Rye get crunk in what looks like President Obama's underground safety bunker (#swag). Oh, and they wear really long gold chains, too. Obviously.
While these festivities are taking place, there's a stuffy gala with a bunch of snobs happening upstairs, geared toward banning low-frequency oscillating woofers (referring to the "Dirty Bass" sound that Far East Movement is known for). Of course FEM and Rye Rye disguise themselves and sneak into the fund-raiser, and before long they've forced all the old, boring people sitting in suits to get up, dance on tables, drink and hook up with each other. (We're pretty sure they're going to cancel that fund-raising initiative -- club music makes everything better!)
Not only has Far East Movement and Rye Rye improved our lives by gifting us this song, they've also improved the lives of about 70 crotchety people in need of a little fun. Thanks again, Far East Movement!
