Lil Wayne, Missy Elliott and Chris Brown lay down verses on Busta Rhymes' 'Why Stop Now (Remix)'
It's really happening, guys -- Missy Elliott is slowly coming out of hibernation, making cameos on the dopest songs around in preparation for her forthcoming album, Block Party. (Praise be to everything that is good and great!) And one of the dopest songs out there right now (IMHO) is Busta Ryhmes' "Why Stop Now (Remix)." I was already impressed by the original version featuring Chris Brown, but the addition of Lil Wayne and Missy takes this ish to an entirely different stratosphere.
Busta opens the record with his signature speedy rhymes but not before introducing Missy in the cutest way we've ever heard a rapper introduce anyone: "Let me introduce y'all to my beautiful twin," raps Busta before Missy gets in the game and takes over with her flow: "Missy like no other chick/Now watch how I kill this remix/I slay these crows/Got more lines than cornrows/You ain't no Missy level/Betta get up on your tippy toes."
Listen to Busta Rhymes' "Why Stop Now (Remix)" after the jump.
Lil Wayne's up next and he demolishes his verse as he raps about just how next-level he is: "I'm fresh out the can/I'm canned goods.../I'm young, ill and so mean/I'm one pill from OD'ing/I'm high.../Told you I can have everything." So what if everyone on this record is basically rhyming about how perfect they are at life -- it's mainly true so let's just accept it, shall we?
