The mtvU Woodie Awards Festival is going to be seriously bomb, guys. The 2012 Woodie Awards, airing Sunday, March 18 on MTV and mtvU, will also completely kill, but the festival on March 15 might give the award show a run for its money. Joining the already stacked line-up of fun., A$AP Rocky, Walk The Moon and Wallpaper. will be Ed Sheeran, Chiddy Bang, Kimbra and Gary Clark Jr., and it'll all be streaming live from SXSW. It's like your coolest friend (the one who knows James Franco) actually hand-picked the entire roster! And for all the hip cats heading to Austin this year, you're in luck: The Woodie Awards Festival is open to all SXSW badge holders.
What we're trying to articulate here is that if you happen to be lucky enough to attend the mtvU Woodie Awards Festival, you're gonna see most of your fave indie bands performing live on the same day. (For those of you who won't be there, you can see it all go down at woodies.mtvu.com.) You may never be able to attend a "regular" concert again. Just sayin'.
