Watch Super Prime’s new video, ‘Vow.’
It’s my personal belief that all the dudes in Super Prime were those hot musicians in high school you wanted to date but couldn’t because they hooked up with the pretty girls in the grades above you. Whether or not that’s actually true (guys?), Boston’s three-piece powerpop outfit are killing the game dead right now. In support of their debut full-length album #FML, the boys are currently on the road with Set Your Goals and Cartel and have plans for a summer tour with We Are The In Crowd, Every Avenue and The Summer Set. And their new video for “Vow” is pretty rad, too.

The Christian Winters-directed “Vow” tells the dramatic story of a couple who almost dies in a car accident. Laced between live performance shots of the band, the secondary narrative begins right as the accident takes place and focuses on the moment between the crash and when the couple wakes up. As we learn more of the story, the band’s poignant lyrics take on new meaning: “The hell that we’ve been through/ Those things I said I’d do/ I wear those scars like they’re tattoos/ This is a misfit’s vow to you.”
As “Vow” comes to a close we’re confronted by the scene of the accident but see the couple walking away mostly unharmed. That’s one helluva dramatic vid for some cute rocker boys, but then again we just love it when badass musicians show off their softer side. P.S. Any of y’all Super Prime men single or what? Hit a sister up.
