Listen To Alicia Keys Perform ‘Fallin” On ‘VH1 Storytellers’

Alicia Keys performs on 'VH1 Storytellers'

Listen to Alicia Keys’ stripped-down rendition of “Fallin’” on “VH1 Storytellers.”

It sure smells like 2001 up in here! Venturing further down our exploration into Alicia Keys‘ “VH1 Storytellers” appearance, which has already brought us stunning live renditions of “Not The King” and “No One,” we bring you Alicia’s live version of the record that made Alicia, well, ALICIA. It’s “Fallin’,” obviously! Didn’t that 2001 reference resonate??

Listen to Alicia Key’s perform “Fallin’” on “VH1 Storytellers” after the jump.

Opening her first-ever single with that signature run (you know, the “I keep on falling iiiiiiiiinininininininin” one), Alicia sank right back into her old-school hit — with the help of a few gospel singers — like not a single day has passed. And yes, while we’re partial to other old-school records like “You Don’t Know My Name” and “A Woman’s Worth,” the purist in us will always love “Fallin’” just a tiiiiiny bit more than the rest, you know? Also, don’t ask us how many times we sang “Fallin’” at camp and school talent shows. (Answer: 14 times.)
