Chuckie teams up with Lupe Fiasco, Too $hort, and Snow Tha Product in “Makin’ Papers.”
Surinamese (by way of the Netherlands) DJ Chuckie is a “big thing” in the EDM movement. You might remember his hit “Let The Bass Kick” (that jam went on to reach No.9 in the U.K. singles chart!), or perhaps you’ve heard some of his David Guetta remixes? Or, if you’re super hardcore, maybe you’ve been to Chuckie’s super-popular “Dirty Dutch” house music event in Amsterdam! (Yep, bro gets around!) Now, Chuckie’s calling on famous pals Lupe Fiasco, Too $hort, and Snow Tha Product (BEST RAP NAME EVAAAA) for an assist on “Makin’ Papers,” his new video about bringing home the bacon. Congratulations! You’ve basically just stumbled upon the grimier, more hardcore version of T.I.‘s “Live Your Life” featuring Rihanna.

In the Larenz Tate-directed clip, Chuckie and his posse (Lupe and Snow) plot to break in to a bank to, well, “make” that paper! After transposing a bank guard’s retinal imprint onto a contact lens (because science), Snow and Chuckie commandeer a vehicle and pull up to their target. Luckily for the crew, they have friends in high places — the bank’s security guard just so happens to be Too $hort, and he just so happens to be on a “bathroom break” when his buddies appear on the surveillance cameras. A safe-crack or two later, and this crew is paper-HEAVY! We guess the moral of the story here is that if you’re craving dat paper, sometimes stealing it is as satisfying as making it! OK, we’re kidding — you’ll probably get arrested and never get hired at another company again. But it does look kinda fun, right?? (Obligatory “of course it doesn’t look fun!” disclaimer in case you’re actually my mother reading this.)
