NEW ALBUM RELEASES

+ YellowcardOcean Avenue Acoustic: To mark the 10th anniversary of Ocean Avenue, the pop-punk group reinterprets the album acoustically, giving the 13 songs new life with different arrangements on old favorites like “Ocean Avenue,” “Only One,” and “Way Away.” They’ll hit the road to perform the entire LP acoustically starting on Aug. 31 in Milwaukee, followed later on by an electric set culled from their other records.

+ Parachute, Overnight: For the Virginia alt-pop rockers’ third album, lead singer/main songwriter Will Anderson huddled up in his new Nashville base to compose tracks with noted song-smiths like Chris DeStefano and Ashley Gorey. While you wait out the Aug. 13 release, watch Parachute’s “Can’t Help” music video, which features the band playing the Ryan Tedder-cowritten single live in New York City. Also, check out the ballad “Hurricane.”

Check out more new album releases, upcoming TV appearances, and performances after the jump.

K.MichelleRebellious Soul: K.Michelle, of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” fame, releases her debut album, which features a Meek Mill collab called “My Life.” Before it drops tomorrow, watch her perform the lead single, “V.S.O.P.” at the 2013 O Music Awards, and stream the NSFW Rebellious Soul in its entirety via VH1.

+ Bloc Party, The Nextwave Sessions: Though the band is officially on indefinite hiatus (again), they have released a new EP to tide fans over until… well, only the band knows for sure. Listen to one of their five new tunes, “Ratchet,” via SoundCloud.
