Check out Mack & Ryan’s smokin’ new clip for “White Walls.”
If you asked us to imagine how the rapping half of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis spends his time when he’s not off being super famous and performing for millions (like at the VMAs) or snuggling up to taxidermied ram heads, we’d hazard a guess that Mack wears those “Thrift Shop” footie pajamas while swinging a stick around pretending that he’s a superhero-pirate-knight. Based on the opening of the “White Walls” clip, which also features Schoolboy Q and Hollis of Canary Sing, we weren’t that far off.

The Ryan Lewis-directed clip covers a lot of ground to say the least. “Zorro”-meets-“Django Unchained”-style Wild West action? Check! Intergenerational Slip’N Slide make-out parties? Check! Massive rooftop flash mob ragers? Check! The return of “Mackle Jackson”? Check! A song about how much one man can love his vintage Cadillac that doesn’t feel dated, played, or soullessly materialistic? Check! Check! CHECKS ACROSS THE BOARD! Here, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, have these. These are all the checks. They are yours. Enjoy.
