Drake performs "Too Much" on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon."
Just for the record, we are straight revved for Drake's forthcoming Nothing Was The Same album. And nothing stoked our excitement more than watching the Toronto rapper perform "Hold On We're Going Home"/"Started From The Bottom" at the 2013 VMAs... Until now!
Just eight days shy of his album release on Sept. 24, Drake's got us even more in the zone with a live performance of the Sampha-assisted single "Too Much" (also from Nothing Was The Same), which he debuted Sept. 13 on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon." Watch it below!
Watch Drake perform "Too Much" live on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" after the jump.
Flanked by vocalist Sampha's unique timbre and lush piano melodies, Drake hit the stage to spit about the emotional turmoil that comes with fame and the "normal people" activities he often misses: "Stuck in the house, need to get out more/ I've been stacking up like I'm fund-raising/ Most people in my position get complacent/ Come places with star girls, end up on them front pages/ I'm quiet but I just ride with it/ Moment I stop having fun with it, I'll be done with it."
OK Drake, just let us know when being rich, famous, and ridiculously successful in every respect stops being fun. Because we're suuuuuuure we can hook you up with a nice 9-to-5 data-entry job that might be wayyyy more fun than drinking shots out of your Grammy! Except #NOT.
